ABOUT US


Iloilo State College of Fisheries was founded in 1957 as a fishery vocational school known as Central Iloilo National School of Fisheries (CINSOF) by virtue of R.A. 1925 authored by Congressman Ricardo Y. Ladrido. In 1961 it was renamed Iloilo National School of Fisheries (INSOF) and in 1963, it was converted into Iloilo Regional School of Fisheries (IRSOF) by virtue of R.A. 3521. In 1978, President Ferdinand E. Marcos, through Congressman Narciso D. Monfort, signed P.D. 1523 converting IRSOF to Iloilo State College of Fisheries (ISCOF). In 2000, R.A. 8760 and CHED Memoramdum Nos. 27 and 27-A integrated CHED- Supervised Institutions (CSIs) of Barotac Nuevo, Dingle, Dumangas, and San Enrique in the system.
