The Iloilo State College of Fisheries is committed to expanding its horizon, way beyond the borders of its compound. Different opportunities for all its stakeholders, specifically the students, the faculty and other personnel are made available through different linkages and partnerships.

The Office of the Advancement and Linkages facilitates the partnerships that the College enters into. It coordinates with the different offices such as the Office of Student Affairs, Vice President for Academics, Research and Development, Extension & Community Services and Library for the improvement of instruction, research, extension and production.

The Office of the Advancement and Linkages provides opportunities for students through scholarships and other activities such as on-the-job trainings in local, national and even international industries and institutions. Scholarship grants such as BFAR, DA-ACEF, DA-ATI are available through partnerships with different government agencies. Linkages with industries in local, national and international arena paved way for students to undergo OJT and led to job opportunities afterwards. The BSHRM and BSAgriculture programs are implementing the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) and was able to send students to USA and Thailand for their internship or OJT.

Opportunities for faculty through faculty exchange, trainings and scholarship grants are also facilitated by the office. Academic collaborations with some international institutions such as World Fish – Malaysia, International Center for Tropical Agriculture – Vietnam, Tongmyong University – Busan, South Korea, Wacom Singapore are made available for faculty development.

Linkages with different academic, government and other non-government agencies such as BFAR, CHED, DA, TESDA and Philippine Council for Agriculture and Fisheries led to research grants and research collaborations.

In support to the extension services of the college, linkages and partnerships with the different adopted communities, barangays, municipalities and other academic and non-academic institutions were strengthened. These include all the municipalities where the 5 campuses are located – Barotac Nuevo, Dumangas, Dingle and San Enrique.

Linkages with other libraries and private persons paved way for exchange of academic materials and book donations. The College Library system has linkages with the libraries of the universities and colleges within and outside Region VI.
