The Iloilo State College of Fisheries (ISCOF) System Bayanihan Initiative, through its ISCOF CARES project and represented by SUC President II Dr. Godelyn Hisole donated 60 complete sets of PPEs to Western Visayas Regional Medical Center (WVRMC) and 40 complete sets of the same to West Visayas State University (WVSU) Hospital on April 3, 2020.

The donations is only the initial tranche of the project which targets to produce 5000 complete gears comprised of hood, gown, apron, shoe cover, and face shield.

The gears are produced by faculty and staff members of ISCOF’s five campuses, with Main Campus at Tiwi, Barotac Nuevo as operation headquarter.

“The said hospitals were prioritized because they are identified as the COVID-19 battlefields in the region, and where the most vulnerable frontliners operate,” said Dr. Hisole.

The operation is funded by cash and materials donations from leaders in the city and provincial governments of Iloilo, and from the faculty and staff of ISCOF and their family and friends.
