8:30. WVSU Panayana Choral Group opens conference with Doxology and Philippine National Anthem with Prof. Ronnie Libutaque conducting.

8:46. Atty. Lily Freida M. Milla, OIC, Office of the Deputy Executive Director III, International Affairs Staff, CHED gives message that both inspires and makes people chuckle. Atty. Milla traces Design Thinking to Adult Education days in Canada.

9:00. Hon. Jerry D. Trenas, Mayor of Iloilo City welcomes SUC presidents and other participants to the City of Love. Mayor Trenas stresses the need to make education attuned to the needs of time and offers Iloilo City to be a place where the attuning starts. Mayor Trenas thanks the University of Toronto.

9:04. University of Toronto presents a token of appreciation to Mayor Trenas and the people of Iloilo City.

9:06. ISCOF System President Dr. Godelyn Hisole welcomes participants and speaks on Design Thinking as a necessary mindset for higher education professionals to survive.

9:13. WVSU SUC President IV Dr. Luis Sorolla Jr. welcomes SUC presidents and participants to Iloilo City, the next national education hub. Sorolla exhorts educators to make higher education responsive to global needs.

9:21. WVSU Panayana soprano soloist renders “Defying Gravity” in an intermission number.

9:25. The University of Toronto presents tokens of appreciation to SUC presidents present.

9:27. Dr. Gladys Belicena presents delegates- Don Mariano Marcos State University, University of the Assumption, Palawan State University, Bicol University, Aklan State University, Carlos Hilado Memorial State University led by Dr. Renato Sorolla, Central Philippine State University, Guimaras State College led by President Dr. Arturo Artajo, ISAT-U led by President Dr. Raul Muyong, ISCOF led by President Dr. Godelyn Hisole, NIPSC, NONESCOST, University of Antique led by President Dr. Pablo Crespo, WVSU led by President Dr. Luis Sorolla, University of San Carlos, Xavier University, Holy Name University, Centro Escolar University-Manila, Miriam College, Central Luzon State University, CHED ROVI representatives Dr. Rex Casiple and Dr. Paulo Cabanero, NEDA representative Dr. Casono, Capiz State University, Manuel Enverga University Foundation, Philippine Normal University, Central Philippine University, Tarlac Agricultural University, and University of the Philippines- Visayas.

1:00. Dr. Sharon Li of the University of Toronto speaks on “The Future of Higher Education and the Teaching and Learning Environment: Moving towards Design Thinking” and conducts workshop.

6:00. Dinner Party and Cultural Night begin with WVSU Rondalla, Ilonggo Folksongs with ISCOF Faculty Chorale and students, and Philippine Folkdances with WVSU Irong-irong Dance Troupe.

9:00 First day ends with a community dance…. Carinosa!
