Strengthening Research Capability through Intellectual Property Rights Seminar-Workshop conducted

The Office of Research and Development (ORD) of the ISCOF System under Director Dr. Jescel Bito-onon conducted a seminar workshop on Strengthening Research Capability through Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) at Century 21 Hotel, Iloilo City on June 20-21.
The two-day training is part of ISCOF President Dr. Hisole’s research thrusts on resource assessment and management, organic agri-fisheries, climate change mitigation and adaptation, information systems, food science and technology, and education and social science, among others.
Ms. Marianne Tajanlangit-Bebit, field operation specialist for Region VI of DTI Intellectual Property Office, and Dr. Maria Gerlia Ablanza of WVSU served as resource speakers on IPR and food innovation, respectively.
A total of 54 faculty researchers from the system’s five campuses underwent the training.
