For efficiency and reliable enrolment system for Batanes State College (BSC), the Iloilo State College of Fisheries designed and developed e-enrolment called the Batanes State College e-enrolment System (BSCeMIS).

BSCeMIS’ general features include: assessment of fees and fund collection; auditing, student ledger, statement of accounts; student profile and scholarship information; and class scheduling and curriculum implementation.

This project is an offshoot of the SUC’s Memorandum of Agreement signed by respective presidents, Dr. Godelyn Gallega – Hisole (ISCOF) and Dr. Alfonso R. Simon (BSC) on March 18.

Project Team Leader Mr. Alvin G. Patiam, Director of ISCOF Management Information System (MIS), went to Batanes as early as June 2018 for preliminary site visit, and again in June of this year for a two-week peripherals preparation.

Team members Dr. Jescel B. Bito-onon, Director of ISCOF Research and Development and project researcher/trainer, and Dr. Michael B. Dizon, ISCOF Vice President for Administrative Affairs and project admin/trainer, joined Mr. Patiam on June 28-July 4 to train BSC staff on proper BSCeMIS use and maintenance.

This massive network system project covered the installation and configuration of server, installation of network system, customization of the forms and system, the installation and customization of the actual enrolment system, and the creation of user guide.

ISCOF is to help BSC monitor project implementation until the year 2020.
