In coordination with DSWD and LGU of the Municipality of Dingle, ISCOF-Dingle Campus faculty, namely: Dr. Aurelio D. Esmediana Jr., Engr. Salvador C. Ballano, Prof. Jacinto M. Osano and Mr. Ryan Castillo conducted a Season-long Training on Vegetable Production Project. This project is under the Sustainable Livelihood Program for 4P’s (Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program) beneficiares and Super Typhoon Yolanda (STY) affected families. The program aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of the participants on the production of organic vegetable using Good Agricultural Practices (GAP); establish a Sustainable Organic Vegetable Production project in every household; and to restore the productive capacity of agricultural areas for vegetables damaged by super Typhoon Yolanda. One hundred sixteen participants from Brgy. Cambugan, Caguyuman and Ginalinan Nuevo, Dingle, Iloilo participated in the said training.
The project commenced in 2015 and undergoes periodic monitoring to ensure successful outputs and skills learned by the participants.
