Dr.Hisole invested as ISCOF’s 8th President

Dr.Godelyn G. Hisole was invested as 8th ISCOF President at a Ceremony gave by new Board of Trustees (BOT) chair and CHED Commissioner, Attorney J. Prospero De Vera at ISCOF BN Gym, Oct 13, 2017.The investiture ceremony was attended by university president Dr. Victor Navarra of University of Antique, Dr. Luis Sorolla of West Visayas State University, and Dr. Rogelio Artajo of Guimaras State College.Rep. FerjenelBiron (4thDisrict , Iloilo) and Board Member Bryant Paul Biron, were also present in the investitute. “The reforms and policies that I Will introduce will be centered on ISCOF’s vision as the “ as the lead academic institution for sustainable science, fisheries, agriculture,  technopreneurship, engineering, and agriculture in the emerging global knowledge-based society in region.” Said, Dr.Hisole in her investiture speech.

Dr.Hisole vowedto brace ISCOF’s three pillars of development: academic leadership and excellence for sustainable development, enhancement and expansion of source mobilization, generation and utilization, and institutional development. She also said that the college is set to implement  P94  million worth of infrastructures and facilities to enhance ISCOF’s competence in not only its fisheries programs but also its other course offerings. One of Dr.Hisoles’s ultimate goals is to elevate the status of ISCOF from college into a university. She also banks her high expectation on ISCOF’s university bid on the strength of its faculty “who are products of competent and well-known institutions, and training in the country and abroad.”

ISCOF is the center of fisheries education in the fifth and fourth district of Iloilo, Dr.Hisole is upbeat that during her four-year term  (July 11, 2017 to July 10, 2021), its flagship program will be strengthened through collaborative, scientific, technological and inclusive researchproject with the help of international and local organization to fortify ISCOF’s niche in fisheries.

Dr.Hisole finished her a doctorate degree in Public Management at Central Philippine University and her Master in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of the Philippines Diliman. She took finished Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Western Institute of Technology (WIT), her high school education at Lambunao Institute of Technology,  and elementary education at Don Eugenio Ladrido Memorial Elementary School in Lambunao. Dr.Hisole used to be a faculty spcecialist and consultant in the intergovernment international organization Colombo Plan Staff College for Technician Education. She was a member of the faculty, department head, and later dean of Iloilo Science and Technology University College of Engineering.
